Latest radio ROM, PRL, and PRI updates for Titan
 

Okay, so I recently upgraded my Mogul with the latest ROM release (Build 20226) using BuildOS from PPC Kitchen. Here is my current device information:

ROM Version: 3.56
Radio Version: 3.35.04
PRL Version: 60610
PRI Version: 2.00_003

I'm pretty sure that my radio, PRL, and PRI can be updated manually but I am not 100% sure how. I do have my MSL number, so that makes updating the manual PRL update to go smoothly but for some reason when I run the latest PPST executable, I get a "EFS Backup Failed" error. The radio update I can handle with no problem, I just need to obtain the standalone version of the most recent release.

Probably search would be your best bet. The latest PRI is maybe 5-6 pages back in this forum (maybe), or the main Titan forum, can't remember, but just search PRI, download, and install. That's what I did. Do the same with PRL and your Radio man. There's no reason you had to wait 22 hours for 3 answers you could have got in 5 min bro.

latest PRI is from sprint customizations on 3.56 (2.04_003) but I think it is more buggy than 2.00 (from 3.35) or 2.03 (from 3.49 customizations)

Latest radio 3.42.20 (from some ROM I don't know) and there is 3.42.02 from 3.56 stock flash....

to update your PRI you have to search for the cab that comes from the customizations then run \windows\ppst.exe (but I wouldn't recommend it, yours is the most stable version I think or 2.03 is nearly equivilent, PRL go into EPST \windows\epst.exe enter your MSL and update prl from there under the prl page, radio you have to either flash the radio rom directly from sd card or run the stock 3.56 rom flash (recommended method).

Thank you, holo...you gave me the info I was looking for. Thank you also to JourneyJeans...but I did try and search for the info...spent several hours coming up with basically nothing, which I have to say that I was surprised becasue I know I've seen a lot of info on this in the past. Either way, I'm going to give these a shot and see what happens. I'll reply once I have it completed.

I am new to the rom update process and have done a bunch of reading on the forums but I still have questions.

What is PRI? I think it has something to do with the Radio but I did the DCD titan rom update with sprint carrier and my PRI version is 1.24_003. I notice on DCDrom 3.2.2 the PRI was like 2.04_003 or something like that. My GPS works so what will I gain with a higher PRI? I found after a long search a PPST file ver. 2.04, will this update my PRI to 2.04_003? Why is it PPST if it updates the PRI, that doesnt seem right? Someone please school me on this before I install this PPST and jack-up my mogul.](*,)

The main difference between the 1.xx and 2.xx PRIs is that they allow access to the sprint GPS assistance server. I imagine with a 1.xx PRI you are having your GPS take a rather long time to lock. With a 2.xx PRI you should be able to get a lock in ~5 seconds (or less), with a significant number of satellites (6+) even indoors.

No reply to my last post, I guess I will just try the PPST and see what happens. I am at work so if there is someone out there with info feel free to post it, if not when I get home its on....
