SMS messages cut off
For some reason when someone sends me a long text(over 160 characters) the message gets cut off and a message is displayed. The message says "Preceding msg modified, Media objects were removed". Is there a fix for this?

Also wondering how to fix it! Sounds like the phone doesn't have EMS, can we get that working?

Re: SMS messages cut off
someone correct me if i'm wrong about this theory but here goes. i have a verizon xv6800 and i have the same problem. with my old chocolate phone i could send and recieve sms well over 160 characters. with my htc unit i cant. i am pretty sure its because th xv6800 is not vcast enabled. with a vcast phone any sms over 160 characters is automatically sent as an mms and both mms and sms are grouped into the same inbox. with my htc it recieves the mms extra long text and handles it as a text message and truncates it automatically. i think.

Re: SMS messages cut off
Through VCast ONLY you can send SMS larger that 160 Characters without it being broken down on the receiving device. On the standard network [Verizon, Sprint etc] the oversized SMS is transmitted as 2 messages AND RECEIVED as 2 messages.
