What to do if I have a warranty issue after upgrading the ROM

Hi,

I just found place about a week ago and I think it's great! I have some Moguls that I have upgraded to ROM 3.56 from ROM 3.35 (the one that was on the phone when I bought it. They are all working great with the exception of one device. The issue I am having is with bluetooth. When I try and turn bluetooth "on" from the comm manager, it will never actually activate. Next I tried from the setting\connections menu and here I get the error message "Bluetooth Hardware Error". I can't even turn bluetooth on to search for a device. I think I need to go back to the original ROM 3.35 so I can have my phone swapped out under warranty. Is there any reason I cannot or should not downgrade to ROM 3.35? If I can downgrade without screwing anything up, is there anyone that can give me instructions on how to do it? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

install the nuespl from this site, then you can re-lock it to the stock bootloader, and reflash the stock rom. you can get the stock rom from HTC's website, its just an executable that you run after connecting your phone

I don't think he's running a custom ROM so there shouldn't be a need to relock.

Just go to the HTC website and download the 3.35 ROM.

Definately tell if you're running a custom ROM though, just in case I misunderstood.

It's not a custom ROM to my knowledge. Its the "official leaked ROM" that many people are calling unofficial. I hope that helps. I'm new to this hopefully I'm explaining this the right way. I appreciate both of your replies.

Here is a thought. Why don't you take it to Sprint to have them safely flash it back to their latest (which should be 3.35) rom for you.

Just my 2 cents.

because if they see he has a non standard rom, depending on the agent, they could void his warrenty
