When I use the 000000 it gives me 3 option. View Edit Cancel. When I choose edit>view info>data parameters the only line showing is Pocket Data String. There is no option for reva a
Can anyone tell me how to access the enable/disable Rev A on a VZW Titan?

Re: EVDO REV A and new 3.56 ROM

If anybody is measuring bandwidth with tether, looking at upload will be the best way to tell between Rev 0 and A. That is where the largest gain was. Anything above about 150 kbps on upload is 100% Rev. A. There is only a marginal increase in speed in download, and I think most people won't notice a real different when comparing specs.
Just from test to test I could jump from 200 kbps to 700 kbps down, and both Rev. 0 and A are capable of those speeds.

Thanks----makes sense----and goes with what I was observing----mainly not much difference that I could tell.

What method oftether would be best...or would it make any difference at all....

Personally I'd use ICS with USB cable, as WiFi is just going to introduce more variables into your test.

As was just suggested, last night I did several tests, but I looked at upstream (as well as latency). I was skeptical that the behavior of the Rev. A setting had changed. After testing I'm now convinced that Rev. A = enable now truly means enable.

the revA option is only on sprint EPST's because it is the only carrier to release the official GPS ROMs. you wont find it on VZW.

And that also follows with how the default is set with this new 3.56

Default setting right after you flash to 3.56 is "Enable"

Whereas the default when you flashed to 3.35 was "Disable"

Assuming that the default would always be set to have this excellent feature ON regardles of how it was worded......

Think Sprint saw the logic in changing it to more in line with obvious, logical thinking.....

As you said----Enable now truly means Enable.....

Makes sense to me.....

actually it has nothing to do with ROM or radio... that setting is changed by the PRI. ROM 3.56 came with PRI 2.04_003 which sets Rev. A = enable. ROM 3.49 came with 2.03_003 which sets Rev. A = disable. This happens during customization on the stock ROM.

For those running custom ROMs or updating ROM/Radio individually, this is important. If you are on the old radio my assumption is that you want the old setting.

Re: EVDO REV A and new 3.56 ROM

I made a ROM using the ppckitchen.org kitchen. It shows 3.42.30 Radio and 3.49 n2c ROM. I am on VZW. Will that ROM have REV A enabled by default? If not how can I manually check to see if it is actice and set it? My internet is poor at home I will have to remember to run a speedtest while I am at work.
