Mind my language, but my friend is an ******* who said he'd help me install my rom, and then started me on it only to sign off aim and not finish helping me.

He then said to come here and read tuts, none of which seem to perfectly go along with what he suggested.

So, by HIS request, I had ran Titan Unlocker, and then run the rom updater utility. However, when it got to 11% it would go back to the spl screen. I've tried restarting the utility n it keeps doing the same thing. Also, reset brings me back to the spl screen.



I realize I must sound like a complete noob, but that's what happens when friends leave u i guess.

Which rom are you trying to flash to? If I recall correctly, 3.17 had this issue. Try flashing to the newest rom. Who is your cell provider?

Taking out battery and leaving it along for now. God damn am I pissed right now.

Am I screwed if my battery dies because I keep trying things? Will it charge if I plug it in?

Ok, just checked and the boot loader is 1.20, I think someone said it had to be 2.40.

Could this be the problem, and if so will it be fixed if I do the same thing I tried to with the new loader?

Nope, run 2.40 and it intalizes, but can't copy files.

My "friend" will soon no longer be one. He will be dead.

First day I have this phone he makes me destroy it. Well, it was my fault...but yea.

I'm confused?

I downloaded the 2.40 bootloader, but it won't work when I run it. I'm assuming because I can't get into ActiveSync now that the phone is fuzzed up (maybe I'm wrong). I run install it, the dos comes up, says intalizing, and keeps asking me to copy files. I'll screencap if you guys need it.

Yes, and it brings me back to the bootloader.
