I keep seeing people complain about the SAME problems over and over, so hopefully this can be made a sticky.


Issue: My hardware keyboard doesn't light up anymore!

Solution: "Start", "Settings", "Buttons"... pick the "Backlight" tab and uncheck the box. The auto sensor *does* work, but it won't light up the keyboard in low lighting conditions... it pretty much needs to be DARK for the sensor to trigger and light up the keyboard automatically.



Issue: Predictive input doesn't work anymore!

Solution: You installed a Diamond or Touch keyboard, didn't you? The Diamond and Touch keyboards utilize their own predictive input routine, disabling the standard one. You *can* re-enable the standard predict routine, but I think it will make the Diamond/Touch keyboard work in Qwerty mode only.

Solution: Try installing this keyboard fix, directly from HTC.
