Help! GPS not working with new Rom!
 

I haven't seen anyone else report this issue on here, but I can't get my gps to work at all with the new official 6.1 rom for the titan. I had not issues with gps before, and use mine daily. Now I cannot get anything to work with GPS. I have tried sprint navigation, google maps, and live search. Its just like before we had the 3.49 rom, and we had no GPS. I did several hard resets with no luck at all, can anyone help me?

Did you set LOCATION ON is phone settings?

Yes, my location setting is on, and I've tried toggling it on and off. Since my first post, I got my gps to work ONCE, but since then it doesn't work again. I've also tried dialing ##33284# and pulling up my GPS data, it shows all data as 'N/A.' I'm beginning to think it has nothing to do with the ROM, and its more likely my phone itself. However, I never had this problem before installing the new ROM.

did you allow the customizations to run? there is a new PRI with the 3.42.02 radio...but not sure that would keep gps from working or not. mine's been working great as usual.

No issues here but would like to add that this version is the best yet. It locks onto your position quickly and doesn't need to be primed for TT GPS to work. What I mean is you can just run Tom Tom and it will find your position.
Where as in the past it just said no GPS found, until you used Google or Live Search to prime the GPS first.

Just wanted to let you know you are not alone.

I haven't gotten any GPS working for the last several days since I updated to dcd 3.2.0.

Still searching for an fix.....

I've re-flashed several times, with and without the customizations, either way my GPS still didn't work.

At this point I'm just hoping that when this rom is actually released by htc, that my gps will magically fix itself. If not by then, I'll get the phone replaced with a new one. I don't want to try that now since the rom isn't technically official, I don't want them to deny me a new phone. If I get really desperate I'll try rolling back to the last rom, unless anyone thinks that would be a bad thing. I've heard horror stories about rolling back roms and bricking phones.

I reveived a call from the 15 satelites above us. Their on strike asking for a raise. Try again tomorrow. Maybe they'll return to work. Thank you.

OK, downloaded dcd's kitchen, after the 3rd re-flash GPS is finally working again, but now yhe on-screen keyboard locks up.

Strange trade off, but I'm willing to live with it.

Try this one.......u should have no problems reverting back it is very hard to actually brick these phones....usually only happens when reverting back to a non-gps radio and rom.....I think that the new rom is garbage myself....I upgraded the radio.....no difference from this one....at least it will let you know for sure if it is the radio or phone....good luck...let me know how it goes if you try it....:mrgreen:
