Txt Messages FREAKED OUT w/ New Rom
 

Ok, loaded the new rom no problems. loaded everything back on with pim backup. i went to check my txts, and none were there. Then all of the sudden they started showing back up, kinda like a search in windows, where things just kinda pop up one at a time when it finds them. but not only that, it was reloading EVERY text in every message IN ORDER since i have had my phone...including deleted texts. So not only was it doing that at an amazing pace, it started RESENDING EVERY TEXT i ever wrote. I probably sent about 400-500 texts when i realized it was sending texts out. all my friends were like wtf?!

So yes....solution? Anyone? I am about to reload the rom. Everytime i delete a txt thread it does it all over again...and of course reloads the deleted thread. HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!

hmm odd - every time i've loaded different ROMs any of my 'old' text mesages are lost in the process and they don't come back at all.

yea, thats the weirdest part. I have messages coming back from 2007...im several roms past that now.

On a serious note I have never heard of that. Did you do any kind of PIM backup or anything of that nature?

Yes, I did, and yes my life flashed before my eyes....and a lot of other peoples too, lol.

Oh missed that on first post. I bet it happened from the PIM backup. Haven't heard of it happening before. Wow that opinion didn't help a bit did it. Sorry. But it is interesting thing to have happen. I hope your friends have unlimited text plans lol.

haha yea. well, i guess ill just reload the rom and try reloading the backup file again, and if it messes up I just wont load the txts.

I generally recommend not restoring text messages or e-mails. When I use any backup app, I restore only My Documents, Favorites, a couple of other specific files, and my contacts. Restoring other stuff creates havoc.

I do all my restoring through active sync. I have no need to keep old text. I hate to see some of my cool MMS messages go away but thats life. I think active sync does an adequate job. Is there a benefit of the PIM backup that I am missing?

i would hate to u this second dude the girls u dumped the people you had a fight with and your emo moments back to hunt you. wow good luck. i sent out nasty txt before and dropped friends and to have them im me saying what are u talking to me ummmmmmm wow good luck man.
