WinMo 6.1 ROMs - Today Screen Keeps Flickering..Why?
 

As the title states, I noticed all Windows Mobile 6.1 ROMs' Today Screen keeps flickering. Why is that? I'm just curious but also, it is a bit annoying.

I am sure this has been discussed before but I couldn't find anything. I've noticed this on the leaked Sprint ROM, no2chem's ROMs, DCD ROMs, and any other 6.1 ROMs.

What's going on??

I can say I have also used all those ROM's and never noticed it...currently running Nex's latest and dont have the issue....are you sure that it is not one of your plugins causing this maybe?

Well even from a hard reset, I notice this happening...including on the stock Sprint 3.49 ROM.

I am looking at the phone right now and it seems that its just the Task List on the Today Screen that keeps flickering, every second.

I am using Exchange so do you think that has anything to do with it?

That sounds like a possibility....but I cant be 100 percent on it.....have you tried flashing and leaving the exchange account off for a few?

Well I have noticed the flickering on the beginning. however, after everything loads its all fine. Running OMJ WM 6.1 latest updated rom and I have a Vogue from Sprint.

I will try that. However, I think its a WM 6.1 issue because I had exchange on 6.0 and there was no flickering issue.

I had this very similar thing, but with me, the spinning windows wheel would flash on screen for a SPLIT second. that would result in the flicker... i couldn't narrow it down to any one thing in particular..
fortunatley it has gone away though..
not much help, i know.. but hey......thats my story.

Can't say i ever had an issue with the spinning wheel. But this thing is really annoying. And I've noticed that it seems like its not the Task List that keeps flickering but more like the 5th (and 6th) Today Screen plugin. Because if I remove the 5th and the 6th plugin, the 7th plugin starts flickering which is now the 5th. And if I remove the plugins after the 4th plugin, nothing flickers. Really wierd! Had this issue with ALL WM6.1 ROMs.

This flickering or refreshing is giving my music playback on bluetooth to keep hiccuping. Unless anyone got any suggestion, I will have to go back to 3.35 ;(

Please, does anyone have any suggestion for checking what keeping it refreshing or flickering? thanks

Remove the Sprint Navigation. Mine flickers whenever I have it as a Today plugin. No noticable flickering with it unchecked in items.
