Palm Threaded SMS Visual Lock - Up

I'm running the 5067 kitchen and I use the palm threaded sms app. Whenever I get so many messages from different people as to require a scrollbar in my inbox, the app becomes unstable. Messages stop coming in, and if I open my inbox, I can't leave. I click on a conversation and it highlights grey and then fades gray as though it's about to open, and then doesn't. It just sits there, and I can't leave, I can't do anything.

Interestingly enough, if I hold down the power button, the power off dialogue comes up, and I can turn the phone off. If I click no, the box is left there, on top of the threaded sms app, kind of like on your computer when a program is frozen and anything on top of it stays drawn, and you can create those huge patterns by dragging an active window across the frozen program.

Anyway, does anyone have any idea what's causing this? It's almost as if the POS graphics portion of the phone gets overloaded and it can no longer draw windows.

I'm looking for similar sufferers, we can troubleshoot together.

Out of curiosity, why would you be using the Palm threaded SMS with the 5067 kitchen? 5067 is WM6.1 which has native threaded SMS built right into it. I'm just curious why you would then add a third-party threaded SMS on top of that.

The stock app is ugly and inconvenient, Palm's app is more aesthetically appealing.

Seriously? I've found the built-in app to be faster and better-integrated. The Palm one seemed out of place to me and a little cheap looking. Oh well, to each his own.

Well yes, I imagine it's better integrated, since it's part of pocket outlook. But it looks less tacky to me.

On another note, though, I notice you're running 5069k. Did you install no2chem's rom, or build yourself a kitchen? I want to do the latter, but I remember that because of the partition table that no2chem changed, regular rom extracting and building tools don't work.
Also, is there a changelist somewhere, that chronicles the updates made in each rom? I noticed you were running 5069 yesterday, I wanted to know what the hurry was to upgrade.

I'm running his prebuilt one, as currently there's no kitchen based on 5069. That said, I find his pre-built ones are a little better put-together than I can build with the kitchen, so I'm waffling as to whether I'll switch back to the kitchen once it's available. But the next one in the kitchen will be 5070, which is why he's running through all these letters on 5069 do he can perfect his changes.

The changelist on 5069 is messy, as each letter gets a lot of changes. Expect a better breakdown on 5070, otherwise you'll have to dig through his thread.

I had to upgrade fast to k last night because all other builds of 5069 had a timebomb in them that no2chem wasn't aware of. They shut down permanently at midnight last night stating that the beta test was over. He fixed that in k, though.

Anyway, overall I love it. Strong range of ROMs.
