Removing SD Card while Titan is on?

:headbang:

Hey guys, a quick question. I've always been concerned with removing my SD card from my Titan. I usually always shut off the phone which is a pain in the butt then popping out the card. is this necessary? Can I just remove it while the Titan is on?
I don't know about you guys but I have quite a few files in there and I would really be beyond pissed if the card was unreadable after. I've had this happen to my other cell phones (non PPC) and have lost mainly pics but never the less, that's where my concern is.

Appreciate the help,

I pop mine in and out constantly. The only time it could cause a problem is if you install applications to the card (usually not a good idea, anyway) and the app is running while you're removing it. Otherwise it was designed with adding and removing the card while running in mind.

just wait like 30 seconds past the last time you wrote anything to the card....

I just pop mine in and out like Turbo. Only problem I've had is that the card RARELY doesn't show up again until a soft reset. Only happened 2 times though.

I think a general rule of thumb is if whatever it is is easily accessed from the outside of the phone, it's safe to remove it while it's running. If it weren't, they'd place it in the battery compartment, under the battery, like they do with SIM cards... unless you're Nokia and you're designing a game system and phone all in one and somehow believe gamers don't care about switching games very often.
