radio 3.35 vs 3.39

so I've been using 3.35 official radio just fine since it came out.

is there any point to me changing to the 3.39 version? Looks like from some posts it seems that maybe the GPS lock is a little bit faster but is that all?

Just trying to figure out if its worth changing radios since it seems that most of the newer roms that come out (NO2CHEM and DCD) support both the 3.35 and 3.39 radios...

advice please?

I think the *.39 radio may be better in different ways. I don't think its performance is any different, but it should be more stable than previous firmware. But then again, firmware to me is the same as drivers.

i guess im just hesistating because 3.39 is labeled as a test radio while 3.35 is suppose to be official.

yes official doesn't mean it stable and test doesn't mean buggy. Test yourself to find it out. I finds that 3.39 is better than 3.35.

What we want to know is the criteria from which you made the decision that .39 was better than .35. performance details? stability details?
please.

thanks.

The 3.39 seems to have fixed my standby mode issues. I used to have to constantly use the stylus to reset my phone as it would lock in standby mode. Since I've upgraded the radio, about a week ago it has only happened once on the first day. I'm very pleased.

I was running 3.35 previously.

Just a question, have you thought about rom 3.49, at least that has the wm6.1?

When I used the 3.35 radio, my phone never went to roam when I was in my house which is a very bad area for sprint reception. I typically have one bar inside my house if at all.

When I upped to 3.39 I noticed my phone switches to roam when I'm inside and frequently will not send texts if Ix is showing instead of Evdo.. This never happened with 3.35

I also noticed that with 3.35 when i set it to evdo only to roam on alltells network, it wouldnt do it, but now it will cross right over in 20 seconds or less with 3.39...

Hmmm...
I find that my xv6800 3.39 radio phone signal is not as strong as my previous xv6700, which really improved when I flashed it from 1.41 to 1.43. The 6800 sometimes sounds like it is under water with 3.39. Thinking about trying to flash back to 3.35 which I skipped over on my first flash from stock straight to 3.39.
