have you tried plugging in to another windows XP machine? or even a different USB port? my apache had a similar problem and it turned out to be the port i was using...

I know this may sound dumb.....
But have you tried turning your computer off and back on as well as pulling the battery on the phone? I ask becuase I get that error all the time with mine. Normally a simple reset of both the PC and the PPC solves the issue. I probably see that error 2x a day or so. -Sayajin |

Look at the connector on the phone. I bet you have bent pins...

lol the problem was already solved... but if it weren't, I'd suggest uninstalling the usb drivers for the phone and letting the computer try to recognize the phone again.
