I've used this website many times for some good info. You guys are awsome keep up the great work.:headbang:

Now some of the lingo and programs I dont get, but I hope you guys can help me with my vzn xv6800. Which program is it for the gps to work. I think I dont have it. How will I know? I tried the live search (msn) and used the gps feature and it didnt work.

I personally like no2chems. I've had DCD's since I've had my Mogul, but jumped to no2chems to try out, well I never looked back again. You have more memory after boot! DCD's based off of the WM 6.1 is a hogger of memory. My props to DCD, he is good & his kitchens are clean but we are screwed with the Mogul's 64 megs of ram which is crap after boot no matter what kitchen you use.

The one I use right now is no2chems 5067 wm 6.1

Had before: DCD 3.1.2


So for you guys who are starting out, start with a basic kitchen & make your own rom. The roms that are already cooked are good but you can't personalize them. it takes the fun out of adding your own programs etc.

Download BuildOS.msi at:

install it. click on the upgrade
choose no2chems 5067 wm6.1

and cook away. Make sure you pick Verizon as your provider.

I've gotta agree. No2Chem is the BOMB when it comes to repacking an already explosive package! I was running ROM #5067, but, found that the dialer was "off..." meaning - when I would tap on a "2" I got a "3"... etc. Not very reliable when it comes to needing to make a call. Odd, that. I tried to reload same, and got identical results. So, we stepped down a few to a more reliable ROM... and are currently running ROM: 3.35.NO2.5060, Radio Version 3.35.04 - with no noticable errors, as yet.

The thread for that 5067 does mention about the dialer. i personally use the og htc vouge dialer. their is a problem with the other dialers. that's been the only problem I found with this version. download Schapps Config 2.1 and turn off dialer skin.

I have a box new verizon 6800 with the gps radio enabled by their latest roms, how do I get googel maps or any other gps application to work? Seems that when I run google maps mobile it looks for satelites, but can't find any. I have com4 set as the radio com port 4800 baud and none for the other setting. I think this is all set up correctly.
