Go back to Stock Sprint ROM WITHOUT Relocker?

Hi! Okay, I'm under the impression that the Titan Relocker here
no longer works for GPS ROMS. With that in mind, I know I have to pretty much follow this order to re-flash back to Stock. (I actually want No2Chemc 5060, but I want stock first. I'm running VetVito Stock based on No2Chem
)

Anyway,

1. Get Relocker, Run it.

2. Get Stock ROM

3. Get RUU

4. Put Stock ROM in RUU, run, follow directions

Basically, since the Titan Relocker bricks phones, can I just skip # 1?

And also, does it matter that I didn't use an RUU to install Vetvito's ROM? (since it's an .exe)

Thanks, and sorry if this has been cleared up already.

well im on VZ and have used the relocker to flash back to the stock VZ ROM 3 times to send them in for refurbs. never used sprint, but i would only recommend relocking if your sending it in for a refurb, because you run the risk of causing unrecoverable damage.

just download the 3.35 release, you won't need the RUU or anything else. don't relock or anything else just run the exe that HTC has you download for the stock rom/radio which has the RUU built in. relocking is not necessary at all...

That's all? I just have to go to HTC's site, and download the 3.35 release? Damn, that's easy! Hmm, can someone else verify, so that I don't brick my phone, lol! I'll update if I can confirm this is indeed true. Thanks!

I've done it many times... The only reason to relock is if you are taking your phone into the sprint store or sending it in for a replacement and are paranoid about them seeing the bootloader (they wouldn't ever anyways IMO - you can only tell by getting to the tricolor screen).

FYI the RUU is in the exe on vetvito's rom, same with the sprint rom.

Hmm. Can't seem to even find our phone on here. Seems HTC stopped promoting it, because the Touch is there as clear as daylight. I saw a link here on the forums for the Stock ROM though, thanks very much man, you taught me somethings, gracias.

QFT. The relocker is only necessary for making it look like your phone hasn't been flashed. The current official builds flash just fine with the unlocked bootloader.

Awesome, thanks holo and TurboFool! Just flashed the new 3.49 ROM and 3.39 Radio with no problems, and will go to No2Chem's 5069c tomorrow. Thanks folks, I appreciate it!

I probably should note too, that I restored from Sprite Backup with no problems other than my Wisbar Advance not loading (which I just installed manaully, no big deal). All of my other, like, 30 programs installed fine.

Thanks again!

I'd recommend not restoring from a backup (besides your SMS/email/call history/contacts) when switching between roms.... PPCPimBackup works great and will only backup these types of things which will not be a danger to restore when switching between roms... You run the risk of restoring over files that you should not be restoring over between rom updates when restoring from a backup program such as this and most people do not recommend doing this.
