haha, you are so right!

however - correct me if im wrong, but ive seen this "blank RUU" used as a general term, for an RUU Folder that has EVERYTHING but the signed NBH file, which has been "blanked" or removed. So when i see someone say "blank RUU" that's what i think of

ohh haha, thats just what i always thought an and RUU folder without an RUU_signed.nbh file was coined as.

anyway, yeah i finally got it to flash through an RUU. since it was a brand new phone, flashed olipro 2.40, then olipro 1.20, then radio 3.39, then dcd's 3.1.2. flawless, thanks for whoever suggested it.

it seems like everyone in the beginning of this thread were just answering and not analyzing what you were talking about and yes only a 2gb works or less

The correct term is just RUU.

You don't say blank Microsoft Word or blank Photoshop do you?

again, you are correct, i was just merely pointing out the common misconception of an incorrect term.

:)

I recognized that. I'm just trying to stamp out it's usage because it confuses people into thinking it's something special they need, when its actually the same RUU they've been using all along.

Nice work nick! Thanks for taking the chance on that suggestion.

Looks like there is a work around for those who have had problems upgrading to the 3.39 radio from other GPS radios. You must first revert back to olipro 1.20. Then load the 3.39 radio. The go back to the 2.40 olipro.

I thought I was stuck at the 3.35 radio. Thanks again.

You cannot flash from SDHC cards. i've tried with both 4gb and 8gb with NO success.

non-SDHC cards work fine for FLASHING.

this thread had nothing to do with flashing on SDHC cards. it was about flashing the newest radio with an RUU.

the first part of this quote has it right here- "thanks for taking the chance on that suggestion". there is NO reason to flash bootloader back to 1.20 if you already have 2.40 on the device. Depending on what rom/radio combination is on the device presently, you may end up bricking it. You can flash 3.49 radio with any of the other usual methods just fine- I've done it. people need to REALLY READ about this stuff before they just jump in and do it.
