Ok I have tried in vain to solve my problem with the HTC Vogue Default Dialer found in this Kitchen.

I use my phone in daylight often and can not see the numbers well with the Touch Dialers.
I like the Vogue Dialer the most( though black n white would rock) but for the life of me every time I install it no matter what apps I include the Dialer opens after I close "Some" programs most notably the Today Screen settings app or if I open then close setting.... It happens in other less consistent situation and the end result is 5-6 instances of the Dialer running.

I have seen this question posted 3 other times with out a response????
I did see one response that said to change the registry key for HLKM/Software/Microsoft/shell Show Clock in title bar = 2

This did not eliminate the problem but it may have reduced it??? That could just be coincidence.

The problem appeared to be worse when I had WKTASK or HTC Task Manager?

I am using build 5060 w/.NET cf 3 HTC home S2U2

Am I just an Idiot and totally missing something???? It almost seems like the Dialer is loading up instead of the Today Screen???

No one Has nothing on this?
If I did not see it mentioned 3 other times with only one reply that sounds a little odd for a fix to this?
Is this just me should I drop it?

the only solution that I've used that has worked is what you already read about - go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell and switch the ShowTitleBarClock Dword to 2. Do a soft reset.

I've heard that WK Task Mgr and that dialer dont play well together. try another dialer and I'd bet that issue will go away.

I had that problem with the vogue dialer also. I just chose a different dialer with a big button skin and it stopped doing it. It definitely has to do with the vogue dialer but I was never able to find a solution either.

Thanks Every one I just found the program T Dial Designer.
Almost Perfect if you could use anti-aliased fonts it would be awsome.

I just used bluefrog Dialer and put a Black/White Theme and Viola!

I get it on my touch. Playing with roms, you only have that issue with other programs if you have touchflo installed that is required for the cube and a few other things....
