Re: New "Official" Sprint ROM (3.49, radio 3.39.10)
IMHO, it's slower than 3.35. I used the test ROM, and it was a lot slower than I thought it would be. I agree as far as a disappointment, it's gonna be bad. I'll stick to custom ROMs for WM6.1.

Amazing insight. I, for one, am waiting because my phone hasn't been responding right since the last ROM. I have upgraded, downgraded, custom ROMed (is that a word?), and gotten two replacement phones with the same problem. Sooo, my hope is the newer ROM will help with my problems. Again not commenting on your specific situation. |

No worries, I am somewhat sarcastic. I forgot it doesn't really come across well on a message board. :) I think it's safe to say that a lot of people like to have the new Sprint ROMs because they don't have the time or the need to mess with the cooked ROMs. (that's me) I text a ton (which is what is all messed up on my phones), get on the internet a bit, and make phone calls. That's about it. |
Re: New "Official" Sprint ROM (3.49, radio 3.39.10)
so whats the general consensus, worth upgrading to the 3.39 radio or not?

Re: New "Official" Sprint ROM (3.49, radio 3.39.10)

Re: New "Official" Sprint ROM (3.49, radio 3.39.10)
I'm runnin no2chem's 5060 and yeah, it's fast, but I'm not talking about the rom. Is the 3.39 radio that much better for data and gps over 3.35?

to me, compelling reasons are: (in no particular order) 1. adding major functionality (ie. GPS and Rev-a) 2. Fixes to crashing or non-functional programs 3. Major program or ROM upgrades (like a new no2chem base..) Often reflashing to the "latest and greatest" takes some time and repeated flashing to get it just the way you want. From 3.35 to 3.39 I don't see that much of a difference in the GPS. The new ROM does seem a bit snappier but that might be a function of No2Chem 5067 (vs 5060) and not the radio. |
Re: New "Official" Sprint ROM (3.49, radio 3.39.10)
anyone have a mirror for this rom? I tried getting it from the site on the first page and it won't go through to get the rom.
