yeah, unfortunately the Titan isn't one of the supported devices. keep your fingers crossed though, if a RAM upgrade were to surface, they would be the dudes to offer it

Re: RAM upgrade real?

"This 64MB to 128MB RAM upgrade will be on sale at a special price of $149.99 until Friday, February 8th!"

That's according to the first link posted in this thread. Is it really worth it in comparison to a 16GB Micro sd card for much less?

Re: RAM upgrade real?

yes it would be worth it to have it as true ram and not ur flash card..

Not for $150 many people only paid $220 for thier phones, just wait till the new HTC releases and renew your contract...IMO

Re: RAM upgrade real?

It plainly states in the sidebar to the right on Moguls...

"No HTC Mogul UPGRADES are available for your device" although extra ram would be worth it.. for power users.

Re: RAM upgrade real?

I've actually contacted them about it before. They said they do not currently offer a RAM upgrade for the Titan, and have no plans to offer one in the future due to the device architecture.

Personally, I'm with the people above who would rather just make do for now and upgrade to a new device in the future. The RAM would be nice, but it wouldn't be worth more than $50 for me.

Any more word on this?

For those that didn't follow the link, matt19 (D/\SH @ smartphonejunkie) claims* to have upgraded the RAM in the Titan using chips available for the Apache. Could be an interesting development.

* When I say "claims" I'm not trying to be insulting or accuse you of misleading us, but at this point there is little evidence to support this. This is the internet after all :)

I hate when my phone crashes but not enough to pay 150 if it was for the mogul

As someone already pointed out on smartphonejunkie,,, the capture that DASH put up is dated Dec of 2007.. pic could possibly be a touch.. although I would be happy to see this happen,, its hard to believe with 12/07 picture..

Ya, the only screenshot was quite blurry and gave no device info. We'll see.

Re: RAM upgrade real?

I'm interested if it is. knowing D/\sh's work when its done getting tested there will be a youtube video on it. I can see not releasing too much info about it until you see the limits of the phone. I wouldn't put anything out without testing it. especially if its buggy.

Re: RAM upgrade real?

I hate to say it.... umm so I'm not.

Regardless, it wouldnt be worth it to me even if there was no charge at all... unless there was a real freakin quick turn-around time for when i got my phone back.

Only then would I consider MAYBE 40 (no damn dollar sign) bucks for it. And that probably wouldnt even cover the supply cost...

OperaMini doesnt like that command.... and any enemy to operamini is an enemy to me, and my mighty mogul.

You post from Opera Mini? YUCK!

OperaMini with the new E-Java rocks. You're behind the times... It's the fastest thing out, and it is the ONLY browser that I've used that will render "completely" all pages that I frequent. But then again, I've only tried 6 other browsers, maybe there is one out that is better. lol

Sure it lacks the bells and whistles that weigh down the other's, but it does everything I want. That's all.

EtherealRemnant 05-07-2008 05:18 PM

Re: RAM upgrade real?

I can't post from Opera Mini. It gets on my nerves. Half the time it loses my posts... And I use the arrows on the threads all the time to get to the newest post... those don't work on Opera Mini, only Opera Mobile.

LIES...ALL DIRTY ROTTEN LIES FROM A DIRTY ROTTEN LIAR.

lol
Sorry it appears to like me better than it likes you, as I've not experienced those problems. Maybe I just have a different setup/ or usage style. I use Marvel as my ppc default and have my phone on landscape using the keyboard.
Its kind of weird how it does the posting, but i've yet to actually lose one.
