Newest Bestest Rom for XV6800
 

So I last upgraded my rom in december to a DCD build. Haven't looked at the forums since.

Now I have just spend a couple hours searching through the big mess (and by mess I mean abundance of information) that this forum has become. It is deff a lot more complicated now, with a lot more choices.

What upgrade would you guys suggest for an Verizon (xv6800) user? I would love all of the bells and whistles (functionality and apps) but I want a build that works with my verizon phone and I won't have to worry about it being incredibly glitchy.

try using the ppc geeks kitchen. but if you do that you have to have the 3.35 radio.

yeah same here, updated to DCD's around the beginning of january and never came back. but ive been on here a lot recently: got addicted to my phone(:

Ive got the xv6800 also, and updating to sprints 3.35 rom was a breeze the second time (first time i let the customizations run and had to get a replacement). now im running dcd's 3.0.4, which is soo much faster and more responsive.

**I found that the gps, for some odd reason, will only work on COM 3 on my phone. so if you update and have the no connection problem, try that :mrgreen:

To update to 3.35 I have to re-lock right?

No. You do need the 2.4 unlocker (Hard-spl-mfg), however.

Keep your today items at a minimum and you won't have many problems, regardless of whether you use the kitchen or a current ROM as your base.
