Talking DCD 3.0.1 Kitchen for new BuildOS.

First off; I *did not* create anything that is contained in this file.

The work is entirely DCD's and I deserve *NO CREDIT* whatsoever.

All I've done is take his kitchen and make it available in a form that works with the new PPCKitchen.org "official" kitchen.

And I'm sure that I am not the only person who has done this (it's not exactly rocket science). But since no one else has stepped forward, I figured I would go ahead and post it.

Download this file: http://rapidshare.com/files/10703317..._DCD_3.0.1.rar

Place it in your BuildOS/Kitchens directory and then extract "Titan_DCD_3.01_Selections.txt" and place it in the BuildOS/Projects directory.

Now you can build your own custom DCD roms using the new kitchen.

I've been using this 3.0.1 build for almost four weeks and the roms are extremely stable. I've not needed 3.0.4 yet, so I haven't repackaged one on my own. And the 3.0.4 variants I've tried all gave a variety of errors; so I am sticking with this 3.0.1 until I need to move on.

Good luck!

Re: DCD 3.0.1 Kitchen for new BuildOS.

Very Nice. I am surprised it took this long. Just like I am surprised noone has come forward with a vogue base. Anyway, this should provide an alternative to people. We will try to help users of your base with issues. However, please keep in mind that we will direct any questions regarding compatibility or OEM issues here. Mostly this is because we have not gone through the base to test all the OEMs.

Regardless, I think this will make many people happy. Again, nice work.

Re: DCD 3.0.1 Kitchen for new BuildOS.

Thanks, good job. Although when I cooked my kitchen, I couldn't get past the 2 splash screen-will try again later.

Also, how to I add in my own apps and set the theme to a different default one? Sorry, if this is posted somewhere; but I couldn't find it.

Sometimes, if you are coming from one of No2Chem's roms, you will need to remove your battery for a few seconds and then do the hard reset after flashing. That's usually the only reason why I get stuck on the second splash screen.

Also, I've noticed that DCD's roms can take a *LONG* time to boot the first time. So you seem to be stuck when in fact it will come back to life after a few minutes.

If you select another theme in the kitchen (ie "graveyard"), it will be the default theme on boot up.

Re: DCD 3.0.1 Kitchen for new BuildOS.

Thanks, I might try reflashing sometime-I'm currently using an unmodified DCD 3.0.1 because I'm failing as a chef with each of my ROMs having problems. :-/

Also I finally figured out how to get my own apps cooked in. Use OEMizer and hit refresh. It's actually not as bad as it seems.

it isnt that hard with that method, but there are some programs that OEMizer doesnt pull correctly. so just be weary in using that

By request - can you slip DCD's new 3.0.4 in here as well ?

Re: DCD 3.0.1 Kitchen for new BuildOS.

No, it's only the next after 3.0.1. .0.2 & .0.3 must have been 'internal' builds.

But I'd be interested in the kitchen too. The buildos included w/ his kitchen keeps crashing on me.
