Remote desktop keyboard not working
 

I've come to rely heavily upon the remote desktop software on my Mogul, but since switching to the new kitchen with the new version of remote desktop (the one that supports mapping the local storage to the remote computer) the keyboard (both hardware and software) no longer functions in a remote session.

Anyone know why and if there's a solution?

Yeah, I just discovered this too. I'll post in No2Chem's thread, see if he can fix it...

Where'd you install it to? This happened to me with an old version when I had installed it to the storage card. removing it and installing to the device fixed the keyboard issue. ymmv

Yeah, I remember that from the older version of RD. But this one doesn't even have a .cab that I could find, the only way to install it was via OEM, which by default goes into the /windows folder. It works in No2Chem's compiled build, but not from the kitchen. I don't know of a workaround...
If anybody does, please let us know.

So RDP does work with the 5060 rom but not from the kitchen? I thought it didnt work for either.

I just tested from my phone and both the keyboard and SIP keyboard work fine. First question is to make sure you are building with everything up to date. Second, zip and upload your selections.txt so I can see what may possibly be conflicting.

Add this line to your selections.txt for now until the next OEM.rar update.

I am curious as to how the above fix allows for the keyboard sip to work within RDP?

I also selected it from the kitchen and the keyboard sip will not work from within RDP.

I was able to install the attached CAB and everything works now. Well it is the regular WM6 RDP version.

That line ensures that the language files that are needed to support the keyboard sip are included. There was a bug that has since been fixed that when selecting RDP in the GUI of the kitchen, only the core files were included. That .cab includes both the language files and the core files, but it is an older version of RDP (the newer version supports mapping the remote device as a drive on the host computer)
