Extended Rom question

I am new to flashin....got that part down...Have a question though can anyone please specify what these files on the extended rom are and do I need them...a brief description would be appreciated.....thanks

Assuming that you're talking about Sprint ROM 3.35, the only thing you need from the Extended ROM is the IOTA tool.

Well, if you plan to hard reset and not do the Sprint customizations, yes, because without the tool, you can't reprovision your data services if your settings change.
