will this work?
hey all, I will be recieving my p4000 in a week, and I want to know if what I am thinking of doing will actually work, and greatly simplify the upgrade process for my. With my vogue I do all flashing from sd, and I want to do the same with the titan, so here is what I am hoping will work:
1. use dutty's nbh tool to extract radio from sprint update -I assume it is the 785.nb, can anyone confirm this? 2. use winzip to extract hard-spl-mfg, and inside is olipro-2.40-hard.nb 3. create custom rom using ppckitchens 3.35 selections 4. use dutty's nbh tool to extract .nb's from custom rom 5. use dutty's nbh tool again to package up -785.nb as radio -olipro-2.40-hard.nb as spl -use mainsplash, secondarysplash, and windows.nb from custom rom Once packaged, will I be able to flash this all in one shot, or does the device have to be unlocked seperately, and then flashed with an nbh without spl? |
Re: will this work?
You'll have to do Olipro seperately, at a minimum.

Re: will this work?
that's what I figured, but thought I would check, I use vista, and my computer randomly blue-screen-of-deaths me especially during usb operations, so I don't want to use it for flashing.
is there any way to unlock from sd? it works with the vogue apparently, but the titan unlocker has specific instruction not to extract and use regular ruu, does anyone know why? |
Re: will this work?
there was a hack i threw in for the vogue that allows it to work, you still need to use the exe to get to that point, but it will do the RUU portion from the sd card. You still need to be on the ram loaded soft spl (patched) which is only good for flashing an spl, no radio or rom. if very worried i'd be more inclined to find an xp machine around than to mess with the SD method for the hardspl.
PS. The vogue unlocker won't work if extracted either, they are both EXE for a reason. Oh yeah same with the relocker ;) |
Re: will this work?
ah, I think I understand. I have a valid copy of xp, not sure if it will do me any good if this usb problem is hardware based, and not vista related, but I will install xp and run some tests

Re: will this work?
no one said if I was right about 785.nb being the radio or not
