No point in keeping backups of the .rars. Updates only contain bug fixes, while major changes get whole new filenames.

Id keep a few backups, just in case you have to remove something (ie: WMwifirouter) from the rar.... It pays to have them backed up.....

Did you choose the correct carrier? Also, do you have your MDN MSID and PRL? looks like you may have to reprogram your phone settings.

Do you have any information on this and how to fix it? I have problems with a few plugins, that when chosen, make me have to uncheck and soft reset for the today screen to show.

hi,

I am trying to make an OEM with a different copy of Ultimate Launcher.

These are the steps I am following; Load OEMizer, in "files & Shortcuts" I load up the UL.cab file and import it, then "Create OEM".

In the kitchen, I choose my OEM, with other selections, excluding the kitchen's UL, burn it and once it's done going thru it's motions.. It's not on the unit, nor is it a choice in today plug ins..

Did I miss something?

EDIT: Trying selecting the kitchen UL and my OEM and have it replace "existing copies" with mine..

OK: That method allows UL to show up in plugins. But after a reset today screen doesn't show. This happens with UL and GPS Today for me so far. With UL I have to deselect it, reset and select it again after reset. If for some reason I have to reset again, I have to go thru the same motions.. Anyone else? Today screen isn't refreshing it seems. Phone app won't load..

EDIT: Ok it seems that UL and GPS Today, as well as some other plugins just don't work well in winmo 6.0. It may be an issue with activesync and it may not. I cooked up no2chem 5060 in the kitchen, winmo 6.1, and checked up UL and GPS today as well as several other plugins. Result; everything loads and works. Checked running programs and activesync is running as well.. So there must be something else that was "fixed" between 6.0 and 6.1.

yeah... i know i got the carrier right... and i jotted down my numbers before/durring unlocking... im gonna just try to rerun kitchen when i get home from work... i was just curious if this was a known issue with an easy fix... thanks for getting back to me so quick

so i havnt had time to mess with my phone yet, ive had it for a good 6 months, and am still in windows mobile 5 rom version 2.14.671.3, what do i need to upgrade to windows mobile 6, i know im suposed to search first but i cant find anything, ive seen the nochem2 rom.. would it be in my best interst to hard reset my Ppc 6800 first?

no need to hard reset before a flash.

You can either try a rom (there are several, all better than wm5, I'm sure) or the kitchen. In either case, you're going to have to unlock and enable GPS first. There are stickied threads with instructions. Read the 1st post of those threads.
