WTF Did I Do??
 

I falshed with the new sprint rom, then to dcds 3.0.1 for verizon and my phone still says sprint on it. How can I fix this, its driving me nuts. Im sure it was me missing something in my reading (or lack thereof)

Can anybody help me get back my verizon base? It wont even let me *228 without a problem.

You probably let the sprint customizations run. The only way I know of to get them off is to flash back to the VZW stock ROM and radio and then try again...this time make sure you don't let the sprint customizations run. I made the same mistake the first time I did it so if you need help feel free to ask.

yep, thats what i did. I have been trying to go back to the verizon rom all night.

Can you walk me though it?

I essentially followed the same steps before this guy wrote it up! If for some reason you can not find all the files needed let me know. I think I saved them in case I needed them later!

well I think I f'ed it up following other directions. I have the phone relocked and in the boot loader. I have lost connection with active sync, so it no longer sees the phone. I need to figure out how to properly restore it from the sd card. I tried renaming the verizon file and putting it on a fresh formatted card in the root directory. I then did a hard reset and pressed R. It said it was restoring, then pressed space bar to boot. It brought me right back to the boot loader screen.

I apprecaite the help as Im ready to spike the phone into the floor. A few more beers and that could end up happening....:protest:

Thanks for the link bro! I dont want to speak too soon, but it is uploading the verizon rom as I type. I think the rom I downloaded from the other site was bogus.

Stop at the calibration screen go into bootloader then flash the rom of choice.

Do I unplug the USB and go into the boot loader, or stay plugged in?

This is at the first tap the screen part, correct?

I owe you guys big time and you save the life of an innocent vx6800!!!

After 5-6 hours of complete hell, 2 things have occured:

A my phone is where I wanted it to be when i started this venture

B I have one hell of a buzz!

yes, i guess that's what it is called. Emails were sent to the phone the second my isp received them, instead of the phone checking for email every hour or 2.

I do not use that service because I have my own exchange server. I know it can be downloaded from wirelesssync.vzw.com
