Got 2 MSLs, and neither work?

I have a new XV6800, with the stock Verizon ROM. Never been flashed, but things could be different by the end of today ...

Following the initial procedures, I got my MSL. Actually, I got two values. One was with lower case hex letters, and the other was with capital hex letters.

I tried experimenting to see if which one was the correct MSL by doin "##MSL# Send" (and "##MSL Send"). Neither value did anything.

Do I need to run anything before the ##MSL# stuff actually works?

Thx!

Sir/Ma'am, the MSL is a 6 digit number, and contains no letters.

Cumulus - I know. I entered my hex version of my ESL into the GetSPC MSL Generator. The MSL Generator produced 2 different MSLs, depending on whether I entered upper case or lower case letters for the hex ESL.

I tried ##MSL# for 6 both digit numbers, but neither one did anything.

I have NEVER needed any of those values from my XV6800.... I've flashed 2 phones and have to get an A key only when the verizon customizations ran, or changed the radio.... All the other MSL stuff I've never had to bother with and my phone works fine....

Thanks, guys - I guess I'm OK without an MSL, then.

What is the A-Key for Verizon? Mine is currently blank on my EPST settings.

Also, I was following quantumforce1's Easy Guide to Upgrade, and he mentioned something about Security settings on the EPST pages. I couldn't find anything for those in EPST on my Verizon phone. Is there anything that I need to get for Verizon?
