Broken Quick GPS after update?
 

Hey -

After I installed the Sprint stock rom update, Quick GPS was working, but now that I've installed Nuerom with Quick GPS as a separate cab whenever I click on Download, it does a full progress bar and downloads, but then says "Connection failed" afterwards...

Are the servers down for Quick GPS, or is this a known issue?

No when u install the cab theres a regedit u have to do an replace the .exe file. I might have the files.

i _really_ doubt quick gps works.

How come? (I don't know the details of how quick gps works or what it does on the phone)

After tapping the Download button in QuickGPS, the status bar would reach 100%, and then gave me a "Connection failed" error. It seems the ephemeris orbital data (xtra.bin) is downloaded to the "\Temp" folder, but never copied to the "\Windows" folder. I was able to fix this by, first making sure my QuickGPS registry settings matched the settings shown HERE, and hacking the QuickGPS.exe as described HERE
