My rom version is 2.17.557. What do I need to enable GPS? I saw this listed; ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Titan/Users/Im...RUU_signed.rar My carrier is ACS Alaska Communications Systems. It sounds like I need to unlock it with; http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?p=1538775 . Is this the case? Thanks in advance.

If USCC is USCellular, then ignore this! I was not sure what USCC is.

I am thinking about flashing my US Cellular Titan with a custom ROM. There is no official one offered apparently. I am not sure what I read in the initial post, but it sounded like the author was saying he can explain how to dump an existing device? I would be interested in doing that to create a US Cellular base ROM before I flash to a custom one. Would be nice to go back since this is already my second phone. First one had the cell radio die.

It's too bad I didn't look all of this up a few weeks ago. US Cellular mistakenly sent me two new phones. I could have played with the extra one before sending it back.

it is currently awaiting testing, but it is in my folder in the ftp. I just don't want to post the actual link until it's confirmed by someone, but if you find it in my directory and want to test go ahead =)

There isn't a manual for developing roms for the titan. There are a few pages that deal with different language roms on XDA, but you are right it is difficult. I wouldn't really be much help in that department though as I've never converted a ROM from english to another language. I'd check with XDA I believe it mostly involves swapping the mui files out, but it would most likely need to be done by someone bilingual with cooking experience.

Question, I am going from vzw dcd 3.2.5 and need to get back to stock. I have 3.42.50 radio and am using spl 2.40

What do you folks recommend for me to get back to my roots so I can send my old phone back since not much has been posted on going from gps back to stock? Thanks!
