After 3.35 update: 3MB free immediately after bootup. rarely see EvDO
my EvDO is spotty to very rare at best, and I'm down to 3MB of program memory immediately upon bootup, whereas before, with the same PRL and same applications, on 3.17, I'd have excellent EvDO, and 16+MB free....and because of the horrible memory conditions, my camera won't run.... I need major help apparently. I have installed SPB Pocket Plus, PhoneAlarm, Resco (without today plugin), .netCF 3.5 and nueMMS, Google Maps, S2U2, Agile Messenger, Opera Mobile, Sprite Backup
This is TOTALLY inoperable for me.... HELP!!!! heh. Thanks. |
Re: After 3.35 update: 3MB free immediately after bootup. rarely see EvDO
That's odd. I think if it were me, I would hard-reset and see if the free RAM and EVDO are back to normal, and if they are then start adding your apps back one at a time to see if you can pinpoint a suspect. Seems like maybe a hardware problem though, I would guess.
Edit: Another thought -- have you made any registry tweaks to your cache settings? If you set that too high, it could eat up an unexpectedly large chunk of RAM. |
Re: After 3.35 update: 3MB free immediately after bootup. rarely see EvDO
Hard reset and reinstall worked.... It must have been a cache setting that I "set it and forgot it" lol. After doing reinstall of all my apps, and all the reg tweaks except the cache stuff, I'm back to 20MB free on soft reset.
As for my EvDO issues, last time I updated the PRL, and lost EvDO, I reverted back, and STILL couldn't get EvDO... I don't know what happened... but as of right now, I'm getting EvDO on 60611, but it takes a minute or two to kick in... If I use the new PRL, I lose EvDO again. I may try it again some other day... right now, everywhere I've always had EvDO, has EvDO, so I'm not missing anything, and if I run myself into an area that may have it later, I'll update the PRL and give it a shot from there... Meanwhile, it aint broke so I aint fixin it. lol. ----------- http://my.navizon.com/Webapps/UserAd...e=5B5B5C5D5A5B <-- Navizon Peer-to-Peer Navigation.
