Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio

Edit.. I found the titan 2.40 bootloader but my question is this. Since I downgraded from 3.35 to 2.17 due to the fact I have olipro 1.20, does this mean I can't put 2.40 on there? Meaning I'm stuck with 2.17 as my rom? I tried to download 3.35 on to my phone but it won't let me, it keeps crashing. For those who have Olipro 1.20 and are stuck with the same issue and wanna downgrade, here's the RUU Titan 2.17 rom http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5K810DAE Last edited by blackarsenic; 03-31-2008 at 05:23 PM. |

Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio

1. ROM 2. Radio 3. Bootloader (also called locker, unlocker, re-locker, SPL) The three components are saved in discrete portions of the device's memory. Installing or flashing one does not overwrite the others. All three must be compatible for the phone to operate properly. If you stop the upgrade process recommended by the ROM compiler prior to completion, your phone may not operate properly. If you flash an official stock OEM ROM package, it contains all three components. The only combinations that work properly are: A. 1. 2.xx level official stock ROM or custom ROM based on official stock 2.xx ROM 2. 1.xx level radio 3. 1.xx level locker/unlocker/bootloader/SPL B. 1. 3.xx level official stock ROM or custom ROM based on official stock 3.xx ROM 2. 3.xx radio 3. 2.xx level locker/unlocker/bootloader/SPL No other combination will work properly. Custom ROMs can be numbered however the ROM compiler decides to number them, and are often inconsistent with the official numbering schemes, so you have to research the custom ROM to determine what level official stock ROM it is based upon. If you have the Olipro 1.20 unlocked bootloader installed, you must install either the relocker or the Olipro 2.40 unlocked bootloader PRIOR TO flashing an official stock level 3.xx OEM ROM; or must install the Olipro 2.40 unlocked bootloader and the level 3.xx radio PRIOR TO flashing a custom ROM based upon a stock level 3.xx OEM ROM. Installing a bootloader/unlocker/relocker/SPL requires that your phone be able to connect to your PC through Activesync or WMDC, which means that to change the bootloader, you must have a compatible set of bootloader, ROM, and radio installed. Therefore, the bootloader currently on your device controls what level ROM and radio you must flash. Once you get to a compatible set, you may then install a different bootloader and proceed with flashing ROMs (and radio if necessary). Based on the number of questions about upgrading, it is obvious that threads about how to upgrade are hard to find; they are apparently well-hidden in the "sticky thread" area. Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
Geez you guys, just give him the answer already.
What you want to do is put the phone in bootloader mode by pressing (Power+Camera) and hit the softreset button with your stylus. You should see the tri color screen. Then you'll want to flash the Stock Sprint 3.35 Radio + Rom. Depending on whether you're on Sprint or not - let the customizations run. If you're not on Sprint, WHATEVER YOU DO, dont let the customizations run. If will fuxor up your phone. Then, you're free to flash whatever custom rom you care to on top of that. As far Sprint goes, I don't have them, so when you go to program the phone I'm not sure if you have to manually program it. In that case I'd consult another thread. EDIT: Actually, I forgot the bootloader. You'll need to flash the 2.40 OLIPRO bootloader, after you've flashed the Sprint stock rom. Last edited by Jaquers; 04-01-2008 at 01:24 PM. |

Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio
Thanks. Most of this stuff I found out already. Thing is, I don't know if it's because I'm running vista or what, but I can't install the 3.35 rom anymore cause it keeps crashing.
Also, now my power button doesn't work. My mogul goes off like it normally does but now when I press power to turn it on it doesn,t come back. Last edited by blackarsenic; 04-01-2008 at 01:42 PM. |
