Just got home, had an crappy larger than my usb to 3.55mm adapter that has a mic built into it, and that one seems to work. The only ones that seem to work with the new ROM are the ones with the mic built in. It seems they might of altered how the signal was going through.

Interesting about the ones with mic are working while ones without are not. Can others confirm?

Anyone have a charge-and-audio adapter that works with 3.35 rom?

So the adapter that came with the phone no longer works with the new ROM?

Actually, I did get it to work. I plugged the adapter (the one that came with the phone) into the Mogul. I then started some music playing on the Mogul. I slowly plugged in the small pin adapter into the phone adapter (about halfway) until the music started playing over my car stereo. I then pushed in the small pin adapter all the way and the music continued playing. It is not stereo, and it caused the voice cmd prompt to pop up, but I did get it to work.

Seems a tad ridiculous, but this worked for me.
Plugged my Usb to dual usb adapter...Connected my 3.5mm+usb adapter...Then connected my earbuds. (It didn't work with them connected upon insertion).

Awful picture, but you get the idea.

Edit: Or maybe I'm wrong...Streams aren't cutting off the audio when they change. Yayyy.
Thanks Allenmat!

K, after playing with many adapters reducers and such I found that this method works most of the time to use our mini usb to 3.5mm/mini usb adapters.
1) Start the media file playing with nothing pluged into the phone.
2) Plug the mini usb - 3.5/mini usb adapter into the PHONE WITHOUT anything plugged into the ADAPTER.
3) Plug your headphones, 3.5mm cable to car stereo, or whatever into the adapter.
4) Listen to soothing music or whatever......

Yeah, this is what also worked with the leaked rom...just don't pause the music for more than 3-4 seconds, or you'll have to unplug everything, start the music again, and then replug everything. What I haven't tried yet is playing music and then having a call come in, or having a GPS audio prompt play, to know if the same thing happens.

Come on, HTC, this is STUPID. Do you really think those stock earbuds sound that great? They don't. Not to mention the fact that I now can't use the phone as a music player on my motorcycle, like I used to. So without a fix, I have to choose between being able to use a 3.5mm adapter under 2.17, or having GPS!?? What gives? It HAS to be a software setting somewhere.

EDIT: this may be a fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=376623

A number of times when inserting my headphone jack, voice speed dial starts up which I then cancel.
