NO2CHEMS 6.1 reset loop
After upgrading from the 3.16 rom to NO2CHEMS 6.1 Rom the phone loads to the today screen and about 5 seconds later it resets. It continues to do this reset loop over and over. If I load the 3.16 rom again it works fine. What am I doing wrong?

Had the same thing happen to me. I think I fixed it by re-flashing.

Re: NO2CHEMS 6.1 reset loop
I have done this several times with the smae result constant reseting. Every wm 6.1 rom is reseting on my phone.

Re: NO2CHEMS 6.1 reset loop
You have the wrong boot loader. If you don't match the boot loader with the proper roms you'll have this issue. You probably need to re-flash to 2.17 stock ROM and then re-unlock your phone (change the bootloader) from there. If you can't communicate with the phone via ActiveSync you can re-flash via a microSD card.

Quote:
1. Go back to 2.17 stock ROM 2. Upgrade the radio by flashing 3.16 test ROM 3. unlock with Olipro 2.40 4. install no2chem 6.1 This will give you the correct radio and bootloader version that is compatible with the no2chem 6.1 ROM |
Re: NO2CHEMS 6.1 reset loop
Since you can load the 3.16 rom then just start form there, don't go back to the 2.17 rom. Just update your bootloader to 2.40 from the 3.16 rom then flash anything you want after that.

Re: NO2CHEMS 6.1 reset loop
How do I update the bootloader? Isn't that upgraded when I installed the 3.16 rom?

Re: NO2CHEMS 6.1 reset loop
with the 3.16 rom installed my bootloader shows version 2.04

Re: NO2CHEMS 6.1 reset loop
Unfortunately, when No2Chem posts his ROM releases, he assumes that only those experienced in the ways of flashing ROMs will read it. Therefore, he does not state the fact that, like all custom ROMs based on the 3.16 OEM level or higher, it requires the Olipro 2.40 hard-SPL bootloader in order to operate properly. He does have a single statement that if you are not familiar with flashing ROMS you should read the guide by quantumforce1, which you apparently missed.
Bottom line is you need the Olipro 2.40 hard-SPL bootloader. ftp://ppcgeeks:ezupload@up.ppcgeeks....rd-SPL-MFG.exe |
