New PRL included in Official ROMs?

Upgrading question here: in general, when flashing to a new 'official' ROM from Sprint, will it include an updated PRL, or should I get that taken care of before the anticipated release of 3.35 on the 10th?

Currently my Mogul is at:
ROM: 2.08.6541.4
PRL: 60608
Radio: 1.32

Yeah - I was an early adopter, and I didn't care to go to either of the earlier updates, but this one is the one I've been waiting for

Thanks!

no the sprint roms dont have PRL's. it really is no big deal because you can either call *2 later and get it or donwload it off the internet and install your self.... if you have your MLS number.

bottom line is NO it will not come with a prl.

although, if you wanted to install the prl now it will stay when flashing the new rom. ROMs dont erase the prl's. at least not sprint released Roms.

Can someone explain what a PRL is, why i need to upgrade it, and where to download it from? I did a search but couldn't find anything.

SEARCH and you'd have seen it......PRL (Preferred Roaming List)
"The PRL is a list of information that resides in the memory of a digital phone. It lists the frequency bands the phone can use in various parts of the country. (The smaller bands within Cellular or PCS.) The part of the list for each area is ordered by the bands the phone should try to use first. For example, say you had a Sprint PCS phone, and were travelling in an area with no Sprint coverage, weak Verizon coverage, and strong Qwest coverage. The PRL would tell the phone to look for towers using Sprint's band for that area. Finding none, it might tell the phone to search for towers in Verizon's band next, perhaps because Sprint's roaming agreement with Qwest was not as favorable, or none existed. The phone would use Verizon's towers, as dictated by the PRL, even though Qwest might provide a better signal."

Yes they do from what I have seen. For example, the last official release RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_2.17.651.0_RS_TITAN_SPCS_1.47 .01_Ship included a file in it called PPST_070821_7500_SPCS_1.24_PRL60610.sa.CAB which contains 60610.prl.

The short-lived 2.16 had PRL 60610 and 2.09 had PRL 60608.

EDIT: If you have your MSL (unlock) code for your phone, you can update your PRL manually. All the latest PRLs can be found at http://www.corolada.com/prl/. I updated mine to 60711 a while back.
