Gps and gps program

I have install radio 3.27, Hard-spl-mfg, and nueROM v2.0 Build 5049. My phone makes calls, internetworks. But the google maps says 21 k initializing gps. It never gets past that.

I have setting at com 5 115200.
What am I missing?
Also what gps program are people using?

Make sure that under Settings -> Phone -> Services -> Location Setting -> Get Settings -> LOCATION ON is selected.

I'm using Windows Live Search.

Re: Gps and gps program

go into the gooogle maps menu>options>gps settings choose "set by windows".

then go to start >settings > system tab > External GPS > make the following settings

gps program port : Com4

GPS hardware port : (none)

Baud Rate : 4800

enable Manage GPS automatically

that should be it man ! good luck

I saw a thread a week ago and it had a registry hack to help improve the gps signal. I tried to search for it but no luck.
