I had this same thing happen to me today. I was playing Sudoku and the back light of the screen turned off and the phone went to the lock screen. I have never turned on locking or even set the password for it.

The difference with me is I am using the stock 2.17 Rom. The only thing of no2chems I have installed is his led software 1.4. Everything else on the phone I have had installed for at least 3 months (with various roms). Could that be the culprit?

I dont know of a way for it stop locking up but I did go into settings/lock and set up a simple pin that will stop you from having to soft reset. Whenever it locks up it now pops up the simple page and you pop your pin in and your good to go
