Cant Move From Tri-color Screen!
 

Hey guys,
I have been really trying to figure out how to get out of the tri color screen. its the only thing that works on my phone, resetting it doesnt work i am just stuck in the tricolor screen.
When i plug it in i hear my computer recognizing it, but nothing happens? Ive been searching through forums and I cant find any solutions to my problem. I have an htc p4000 and on the screen it says TITA100 MFG spl-2.40 Olipro CPLD-9.
Please someone help me because my phone doesnt work at alll!

try flashing a rom to it. it may not be getting anywhere is because it has no rom image.

I installed hard-spl-mfg its the dos version ( i think ) like it looks like it quicckkkkly goes into the % thing, then goes back to the tricolor

no. simply read all of the thread in this forum that address the issue you are having. there is abundant info all around you! and next time do go mucking with your phone until you at least have a general idea of what you are doing!!!!

I have seriously read through alll of the forums, and anything anyone says to try, doesn't work. I dont know where to go from here. my computer doesnt recognize it. it only makes the sound when i plug it in.

look for ROMs tht are for your phone.if you are in the tricolor screen you should be able to put a rom on your phone from the tricolor screen. try looking on the htc site.

How do you put the rom on though? my htc isnt being recognized by activesync or anything? Can i boot somehow from my sd card?

this is soo frustrating, there wasnt one post in there that explained what has happened to my phone. I will seriously pay someone money i really need it for my business!

man this thread should of been deleted long time ago, this guy doesnt even know what a rom is.

this is exactly why there is threads like this made every 5 minutes. cuz people keep helping stupid people..

You obviously have no idea what you are doing so why would you try to flash your phone. And another thing, its easy to just read something but its a lot harder to actually understand and comprehend what is being read. If you don't understand then don't waste your time. I nominate you as n00b of the year; congrats, your prize is in the mail.

I'll take noob of the year but dont you guys know what your doing? everyone has to start somewhere and I made a mistake, and I need help. all im asking for is help i dont know why you guys are putting me down like this.

download that and flash it. if you need help on flashing look at the stickied posts man. its all there. you obviously havent read. but anyway.

edit: if you would of read you would see that there is just about 49857349769384759345 threads about people saying this happens to them, your only mistake is being lazy and not reading.

Okay I was running wm6 before... umm i tried installing the hard-spl-mfg and in the middle of it i just got stuck in the colored screen. At first it attemted to do the 100% thing but now it just quickly says "loading.. no images files" Yeah i have seen tons of people writing threads about being stuck in the 3 color screen but they can get out of it by doing a hard reset. every time i do a hard reset it just takes me back to the 3 color screen. So my active sync never has a chance to connect because I cant get into my phone. Now im downloading those files you just posted, i just dont know what I can do with them because I cant connect to activesync which each program like hard-spl-mfg tells me to do.

Maybe this file you showed me will do something different when its done? I am not lazy I have been looking all day not even joking, I didnt want to post a thread because I knew id get criticized but i seriously couldnt find anything

the forum says you need to connect to activsync to flash.. i cant connect because I cant leave the tri color screen. and titan exitbl doesnt work either.

Before using the exitbl make sure that usb connections under activesync options is not checked.

well my mood just changed cuz my woman called me and i should be getting some home cooked food tonight hahaha, so im feeling good...

here i'll explain it as simple as possible.

wm6 has nothing to do with this, you were running the stock rom with the old 1.40 radio, you had the old bootloader which would load your old configuration. then you had the phoe running with an active sync connection and upgraded the bootloader to 2.40 which is not compatible with the old radio and the old stock rom, therefore it cannot boot your phone.

the file you are downloading will update your radio to 3.16 or whatever with wm6 not wm6.1. you wont need an activesync connection to run the rom update utility. after that everything will be compatible and your phone will boot up.

You have been getting a hard time from people here because you do not seem to know why you installed the hard-SPL. It is only useful if you plan to flash (that means install) an upgraded ROM (basically a new operating system). If you have not gotten any further after having installed the hard-SPL unlocker, read the first post in this thread and start at Step 4 (under Upgrade to 3.16). http://67.228.199.237/forum.ppcgeeks...ad.php?t=17667

The procedure should work from that point with your phone on the multi-color bootloader screen and connected to your PC with the usb cable.

When that completes successfully, you will have the Sprint OEM pre-release 3.16 ROM and the 3.27 radio to go with your 2.40 hard-SPL, and should be able to boot up.
