What do you guys do after upgrading?
 

I just upgraded from No2chem's 5038 rom to 5049. Before flashing I used spb backup so that I can restore all my install programs and pim data.

Everything was restored properly but I do have one issue. The problem I noticed is that before restoring by data there were several new folders that were available to browse. I can't remember the names but I remember seeing an internet folder and some kind of embeded rom folder which had some programs. After restoring my backup, they all disappeared.

I would hate to have to reinstall all the programs over after each update. Is there a way to just restore my installed programs only without getting rid of my new items?

I already know of pimbackup, I'll try messing my my spb backup settings to see if a customizable backup and restore can help me.

Just hard reseted. I guess I'll have to reinstall those programs.

Since build 5047, no2chem's builds have been UC Compliant. Check out this thread for more info as it should help you on future upgrades.

Short of that, you would need to cook your own ROM and cook in OEMs of your apps into the ROM. Here is some info on OEMs

After a successful flash, upgrade and re-installation of prior apps/settings, I usually pour myself a tall glass of ice-cold jagermeister topped with a splash of chilled redbull...
