I guess it really only matters depending on where you live. Dropping data transfers is a deal breaker for me IMHO.

I haven't experienced any bugs except for the thing taking up more ram.

I like having the GPS built in. However, I have to restart it too frequently for my likeing. Otherwise, not enough differences to make me want to switch. I have a bluetooth GPS so I don't need it that bad.

On a side note, I have to say that the Sprint (TeleNav) Navigation software is pretty cool. Being able to speak the name of the address and having the street names read to you in the directions is cool. Try it for free yourself and see. Also, with TomTom running, I can't play music in the background.

Unfortunatly, I am in a quandry. Go back to 2.17 or wait for the rom that is only about 1 month away. I guess ill just have to live with 3.16 for now. Reloading all my apps is just too time consuming.

The last thing that was hard to take with 3.16 is that Card Export II does not work. That was hard to deal with when this was my PDA AND memory stick for work.

All in all, 3.16 is not that bad but I can't recommend it.

Do the upgrade. 3.16 cleared up some issues that I had with the stock ROM. The biggest two - speed and voice clarity. On the speed side, it sped up my data connections but also how the hardware reacted when I hit icons and phone keys. Much better.

Well, i tried the 3.16, but quickl realized the advantages of a WM6.1 Custom ROM...à la no2chem's ROM...I love it.

Just for the GPS and live search alone is worth it! The device with WM 6.1 is soo much faster than the plain 3.16 release. Update to the 3.17 to get the radio then put in a custom rom.
