GPS while retaining stock ROM - Alltel
 

I was curious to know if it is possible to have GPS enabled while keeping the stock ROM installed.

I came across a few issues with Alltel's PPC6800 that have not seemed to be solved when upgrading.

1. When moving to any of the new ROMs I have had issues with reliable Data transfer through Internet Share. It seems that I am not th only one having this issue as there are several posts out there about the same thing.

2. Also I have a Mini USB charger/3.5mm stereo adapter. It works perfectly with stock ROM but with upgraded ROMs it no longer works as a 3.5mm Stereo adapter. This is certainly a small issue but I charge and use my PPC as a streaming internet radio while in the car.
