MSID number question for DCD's rom
 

I am going to flash to DCD' s ROM. I was recording the info needed before I start. I was looking at my MSID number. Is this supposed to be the phone number that I am currently using?

It is with my Alltel PPC6800. While ur gathering info, dial ##000000 and notice the NID/SID numbers. I have a theory: I couldn;'t get my DATA to work on DCD's rom & noticed this was different but I hadn't written it down. I'm back to stock now & will retry it next week.

Are you new to flashing rom? (I'm goin outta town, so I'll not be checkin back regularly, jsut sayin.....)

I have Sprint and the MSID is not the same as my phone number..

my MDN number is my phone number

Yep, mine are different. I've ported my number back to Sprint after porting it away. So, there's a 'dummy' phone number listed in my MSID. Your MDN should always be your phone number.

in 4 phones the mdn is always the same number the msid is always different than the phones number but never the same on all.

edit: 4 phones i've owned 1 vouge and 3 titans.
