I'm inside a commercial building and there is no difference in sattelites (0-1) after installing 5046 latest a few minutes ago. Is my first attempt and looks good, so far. Gonna drive home, now, for about an hour across two cellular market areas and roaming to run it through the ringer. Nice work, though, from what I've seen, no2chem. You are the bomb!

Hrm, this is quite interesting. We all seem to be getting "mixed" results. Ok, maybe post your carrier's too? Oh, and please state if you are using the "working" QuickGPS program as well. So kinda like this:

ROM: no2chem 5044
Carrier: TELUS
QuickGPS: Yes
Notes: Obtains GPS lock with satellites within 45 seconds in areas where I could NOT obtain/maintain locks before. Also, I notice that in Google Maps, the location dot snaps to where I am (roughly) BEFORE the message in the right hand corner shows any satellites locked and then shifts a bit once satellites are locked.

Oh my I just set this up and I got 10 sats. (Not) Pls this reg hack does nothing... zero... to add additional satellites to your phone. It may seem to you that it does but agps has nothing to do with more satellite locks. It depends on your topography and how many birds your phone antenna can pull in and thats the bottom line.
I am using the quick gps hack and it seems that when I use it I get a lock within ten seconds. I am not located in a valley either. I am in a hill area. If I don't use the quick gps hack it it takes about three to five minutes to get a lock.

Wonder why we have to go so far to a server for aGPS. Anyone got an IP here in the States??? Trace route below

WORKS EXTREMELY well for me. Picks up MORE satellites, much quicker than before even inside my house. Try it and see if it makes a difference for you! Don't forget to reset/cycle power once you change the reg setting.

This is great on my Sprint Mogul! Thanks!

Hope this isn't the placebo effect, but it seems that I am getting locks much faster. Maybe it is triangulating your location, then transmitting to GPS so that it locates faster... IDK. It just seems different...

im out of it too. i almost drowned 15 minutes ago because I fell asleep in the shower. And i had a Culver's Butterburger deluxe with cheese curds. i better stop talking before my left eye ball explodes.

and I have a headache... must be all the signals from my phone traveling through my head

You my friend are the man! This is the always on GPS connection I have been waiting for. I have been playing with this app right HERE and now with this reg edit it works all the time. Even with not Data connection, no google maps, no live search... All I can say is Nice. Can some one try it with a gps like tomtom or something?

With Tom Tom 6.032 no difference. Only if I use the quick gps do I connect with ten seconds outside. Not inside.

Cheerio

not sure if it "actually" works. at worst, it doesn't make a difference. It seems to get a fix faster - i note that its not a valid setting according to the rgu (apparently rgu says 1,2 or 3).
After changing this and reseting, I was able to get a signal outside within seconds. It has always taken me 30-60 seconds to get a lock, even with QuickGPS. Unless this was an epic coincidental fluke, I say this works well! Thank you so much!

How do people get a lock so fast. No matter that i try it take me about 5 to 10 minnuts to get a lock. Also worthless, i have to turn it on in advance, which totally sucks. I am running dcd 2.2.6.. but no matter what i ran never got a lock faster then 5 minutes. I even tryed this reg edition, didn't help me.
Any ideas?
