Your are right about not having the knowledge.

where can I find these programs. How do you use the features in WM6.1?

If its critical you have access to your server, static is the way to go. Saves you the headache of having to reopen all your ports for RDC, BT, Games, Etc.

I have a static internal ip set and I use no-ip for the external dns as my provider changes my external ip every few days-weeks.

many routers let you statically assign an IP via DHCP to a given MAC addy. if a given NIC is connected to the router, it will get a lease with the IP you specify everytime. nice for centralizing management.

i've a dlink and a netgear that do this, and never run into problems with IP-MAC relationships being lost,

Unhappy Re: New Remote Desktop client from WM6.1???

Ok, i have been researching through TONS of forums and using trial and error from all of the information. i am in need of help. i have a Sprint HTC Mogul (6800), i have the Remote Desktop software installed... to my device, not the storage card. i have a Netgear router, with the Port 3389 forwarded (i think i did it correctly). i input my PC's IP address (according to whatismyip.com), i am using my correct Login info for Windows XP user account. no Domain. i start my 36 connection First before attempting to connect to Remote Desktop. Gives me error messages every time. "ip address may not exist" ... "possible network connection problems". i am at a total loss. about to completely give up. this is my last ditch effort. someone... please.... help. and i work a lot, so if someone, ANYONE could respond to my cry for aid thru e-mail, i would be forever grateful!
