Does SDK_Certs.cab still needed under 6.1?

Is the SDK_Certs.cab that we used to need to install under WM 6.0 to install certain apps still needed under the custom WM 6.1 images we are now using?

It is still needed. I installed one app that did not work until I installed the SDK certs cab. Rebooted and it started working.
