Running the new ROM and can't access certain web sites
 

So I decided to run one of the new roms (nuRom v2.0) with the base of the leaked ROM that came out last week. Everything is running good except I can't visit certain sites. For example, I want to download opera mimi but when I direct ie to operamini.com and the page never loads. I tried changing my dns # with open dns but that did not help. Anyone have any ideas?

works fine for me... with and without open dns...

I can't be the only one having this problem. at least I hope not. anyone have any ideas?

I've had a problem getting pic mail. when i try to view them it takes me to a different page than before. I can't seem to view the pic, it is just a small icon that I can't click on. Anyone know what I'm doing/did wrong?

Dunno if this would count, but I use my phone as a modem, and recently, I can't get to some sites either. Namely Hotmail.com. It loads about half way then stop at "waiting for gfx8.hotmail.com" forever. Works fine via wifi and lan on my laptop, just not my phone.

I had the same problem and I had a workaround, kinda. Its something with the cookies. I had the same problem trying to visit xstreamxm.com/mobile. It would load maybe 2k, and then stop and would never load the whole page. When I go to Options>Security> Clear Cookies, it would work, but only once. Then everytime I wanted to visit that page again, I would have to clear the cookies.

Same prob.
 

Actually I have had the exact same prob with all the GPS capable roms Ive used (dcd 1.6-2.2.2). For opera mini i have found operamini.com doesnt work....but mini.opera.com works perfect. Ive also found for what ever reason Hotmail hangs for me as well. If it helps I am currently running dcd 2.2.2 (i think thats right) for Alltel.

I have the same issue with pie.

I loaded my phone and it works flawless.

I loaded my wifes phone and she has the above mentioned problem. To make matters worse, I lost her contacts when I upgraded the rom. ](*,)

Anyone with a fix for the internet issue.

:headbang:I found a fix for my wife's phone. I was just playing around and this happend to work for me.

open pie (pocket internet explorer)>Menu>Tools>Options>
memory>clear history>delete files
Security>clear cookies>uncheck allow cookies

surf the net a bit

then repeat steps above and check the box for allow cookies

Seemed to work for me, and I thought I would share.
