No data/voice roaming after 3.16 upgrade

Hi guys looked through all the forums about a solution to this issue. But all I can find was to call sprint technical support. I reverted to rom 2.09 called them and mentioned to do a HDR reload or check in there system if hsa roaming was enabled or disabled. But after over 5 trys i can't find anyone to help me. Technical support keeps giving me the run around that you shouldnt be able to make or receive calls when roaming. anyone have a solution or do i have to go to a sprint store to fix this issue. I have the htc mogul. I just upgraded the rom to 2.17.

Hopefully you saved your MSID and MDN, you'll need it if not call customer service.
Find your MSL, there is a program but i forgot the name.
Type it in your dialer like this ##123456#
Change your MSID and MDN to something that is incorrect, i.e. if it is supposed to be 555-321-1234 change a digit on both fields.
Then Reset
Go back to the dialer, put in MSL as said before
Input correct MSID and MDN settings
Then Reset
You should be able to make and receive calls/texts
Now just open your browser, go to www.google.com or something, and there should be an over-the-air update, the word IOTA will pop up and thats your phone downloading your internet settings.
Reset
If if doesn't work at first be patient, sometimes it takes a while to kick in.

IF that doesn't work for the internet problem try:
Type ##3283# into dialer
Your password is your MSL, type it in
Then hit menu, choose Restore, reset

If those 2 things don't work, you may be SOL. But keep searching, I had problems with calling and data for the longest, and what I typed here fixed it for me.

Edit: Your MDN is your phone number, for MSID you need to call customer service.

i had this problem.

what i did was switch my roaming settings under Settings>Personal>Phone>Services>Roaming>Get Settings. Changed it to roaming. let it set for 1 min try to get online. then reboot the phone then i swtiched roaming to sprint only. after that i let it sit for another min then try and see if you can make a call. once i confirmed all this i changed it back to automatic.

Note that i did make sure that the MSID is correct.

Also i Just noticed your radio version isnt at 3.27 could be why...

any luck on fixing your problem? I'm having the same issue, and neither of these two methods worked for me...

so less than an hour after I posted my last question my wife helped me get back online:

via your sprintpcs account page, go into Settings & Passwords and change your user ID...this caused my phone to do an IOTA check (which last about 10 seconds), and now I can get online

good luck!

Hmm looks like I'm still having the issue with the roaming not working. I'm from NY and when I traveled to Chicago it started working again. Well now I am back in NY and I can no longer make voice/data calls when roaming. It used to work flawless anywhere in NY when setting it to roaming only. Starting to think I'm going to need to get a new phone from sprint.
