Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread

My question should be relatively simple for those of you seasoned vets.

I have been playing with the kitchens for a while now. I have downloaded the kitchens from PPCKitchen.org and have made my own from various base kits.

Anyway, from these kitchens, there are some applications I'd like to install but be able to remove if I don't like them. Basically, I'd like them in .CAB form and not part of the ROM itself. For example, iContacts. I'd love that in CAB form if possible.

Can someone explain to me, or point me in the right direction, to convert some of these apps from the kitchen into CAB form so I can remove them if I want to?

Anyone on 5060 having issues hiding the extended rom? I wanted to save my attachments to my storage card, I go into the nue extended rom tool, click hide, click ok, then soft reset, but the ext rom is never hidden.

You should be able to use arcsoft if you just change the server settings to whatever Verizons are.

I've never done it but I've heard others talk about using cabwiz. It supposed to allow you to build cabs.

You can also use WinCE Cab Manager to do this.

quite often a quick search will turn up a .cab without having to do anything.

Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread

I see one issue with the new roms that wasn't on the previous roms. The issue has to do with BT while the included headphones and power are plugged in(11pin USB). When you make a phone call the sound goes through the 11pin rather than the BT. If you unplug the 11pin USB then the sound now goes through BT. With the previous roms, based on 3.16, it would work through bluetooth while the 11pin USB is connected. Now it appears that with this new radio requires the 11pin USB to be unplugged before the BT has sound. Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks,
JD
