Bored I wanna make a new rom but I'm outta ideas , I'm not trying to fix anything just add to my own base ...... So taking any request ... So far in the last few days I have made four roms these are just betas I'm throwing out there for testing

2.17 + AKU .7 and everything possible not needed stripped out. Bare minimum ROM. You could even push the pagepool down to 4mb to free up a few mb's of RAM.

these are just beta's please report what bugs may be in them so that we as in you guys and myself can fix them

Tested and it seems to work well. Had to flash back because there are too many things I don't really like in the ROM (SPB phone suite, that task manager, etc.), but seemed pretty stable.

I would like a base of the 2.17 with all the sprint stuff taken out with pic/video mail, pocket cm contacts new version, some cool splash screen some regs to make the phone better camera and battery. thats it really

clean 2.17 with speaker volume and bt volume, internet speed, internetsharing, battery, mms, video quality fix, and phone unlock registry edits

google maps, xbutton, slide to unlock, big button dialer, htc wait animation, tcpmp+(skunkworks)flashvideobundle

I second the motion for a clean 2.17 with the necessary fixes (battery registry edits, modified AudioPara.cvs, etc.) and tools (wifi internet sharing, mms, esmertec jbed java). Adding extra applications will defeat the purpose of a "clean" ROM, but if you're really keen on adding those, please make sure you call it a custom ROM and not clean.

Honestly, I think the best thing you could do, if you're really that bored, is to build a good PPC6800 kitchen for the community. That way, we can build our own ROMs as we please.

im not opposed to a clean rom with just the fixes based off of the 2.17, i just know that those other apps that i pop in as a request are stable and will be on 95% of moguls, i only put the wait animation on their cause i hate the flash of color everytime the mogul attempts to do work :p but im fairly sure everyone would pop on googlemaps+tcpmp big button dialer is a must due to fatty fingers... and slide to unlock isnt needed... so if you build this do what you want - programs if it will make more people happy

Well where to start ? Not to offend anybody but I DID SAY THAT I WILL BE BUILDING CUSTOMS NOT CLEAN THAT IS WHY I'M CALLING THIS A CUSTOM THREAD ... lol . No seriously to answer some of your questions and requests ... first I am back and forth trying different kitchens for my roms I have one that I really like but it was slid to me under the table so be patient one is in the works .... next the 2.17 rom already has battery fixes etc. in it as I said before I don't get paid by HTC to fix their problems thats their job.. not being rude but I like the rest of you paid damn good money for this phone and will be damned if I should have to fix it so please help the cause by submitting complaints to HTC and Sprint to get it fixed or recalled . Now I'm working on something based off of some of the things thats been requested hopefully I will have a good 2.17 rom up tonight ...... question have any of you guys been getting errors when starting some programs with 2.17 ?

I'm not sure what goes intoa Custom ROM or how to do it, but if you include all the programs that I currently use on phone, would that save me more room on the device? I have alot of stuff installed on my phone, so its moving kinda slow. I was wondering if that would fix it?

were you talking errors in 2.17 or your 2.17 custom? cause i have yet to run into any errors and i install all kinds of "crap" only errors i ever get are ones that i would normaly get due to problems with program/compatibility with wm6, but that is in stock 2.17 and i havent used your custom 2.17, ill wait till the next,

one mild issue i did notice is my mogul likes to choke and sometimes die if im running btcrawler not sure if its too much or if its a bt error not a bit deal its just a small progie that most wont use.

It just depends some programs like to live can live in rom while they're others that have to live in ram to run right but yeah it save space but depending on the program it can also cause mem leaks or slow downs

Makes sense to me. I think I just have to many programs installed that actually so the samething. I cant figure which programs I like better. But I would really like to get rid of alot of the Sprint stock stuff.

Making my first 2.17 now but I have ran into issue inside my rom thats why its taking me a while to figure out what the balance is

what kind of issues? and what changes are you making?

Just adding to it for now some programs would now start I was getting errors but I believe I'm close to a fix

Jak- This isn't a custom rom request, but I was wondering if you could help me with something... Could you pull out the just the Wimdows live (hotmail) from the last rom (2.16) and cab it up for me? The Windows Live that comes standard in the new rom (10.3.0033.0600) is giving me fits, the old one worked perfectally but I don't want to go back to the old rom, everything else works fine. I have tried duthroy's fix, but that doesn't do anything for me, this is driving me nuts!!

hhhhmmmm there are so many possibilities......
I have often thought about getting into the custom ROM making, but would rather not without some one-on-one guidence from somebody who has done it before and it familiar with it.

I know you don't do Titan but I would really appreciate if you could make a clean 3.35 with Voice command and the cube all already on it for the Mogul. PLEAAAAASEEEEEEE

JK are you still watching this thread? If so a 6.5 with most of the programs loaded to SDcard with shortcuts in the start menu so that the programs could be launch with voice command. You rock:headbang:
