Then I went back to WM6 with DCDs clean ROM. Multiple out of memory problems and issues. Voice Command worked but I ended up with a Notification glitch where each appointment would trigger upto 300+ notification reminders when they were due and the phone would crash. At first I thought it was a Pocket Informant glitch but now I am not so sure. I did use WEBIS Toolbox to reload the appointments and that may have done something. Although new entries seemed to cause the same notification problem.

My other suspicion was that Voice Command 1.6 did something to the registry and messed up the notification settings.

No2Chems Roms so far worked this AM without the same error (but without loading VC 1.6). Any thoughts about whether I should try VC again or wait until a proper WM6 version comes out ?
I am running VC 1.6 w/ no problems on this rom.

I have radio ver 1.32 installed... could this be the issue? If so, how do I upgrade the radio? I've downloaded the 1.40 radio from a post or two before this one... but am unsure if I can just run the RUU as-is and it'll upgrade the radio seamlessly. Or do I need to flash my phone back to an OEM rom before upgrading the radio? Any insight is appreciated...

Maybe this 'slowness' isn't even the radio??? If not... any ideas here?

Thanks!
You can flash the Radio ROM directly from RUU without reverting back to the original Sprint ROM. And about your device being slow...its software dependent. Did you install any programs after you flashed this ROM?? I'm not sure about reasons but the HTC Home Plus! plugin and Large Startbar seem to cause the ROM not function optimally.

I upgraded the radio to 1.40 and don't seem to have the 'slowness' that I had before. I'll keep messing around with it and report back if it slows down again. As for the slowness being software dependant: the two applications I had installed since flashing the rom are TOMTOM navigation and HTC xbutton 1.5. I installed the TOMTOM, but did not have it running in the background. Not sure if that can affect the speed or not... but that was the installation history I had when experiencing the slowness.

cheers!

I am using 1.32 radio and I have TomTom Navigation 6 and HTC taskmanager 1.51 installed, I have no delay at all.

So as I continue to test this ROM, I am running into a slight problem that I am not sure if any of the rest of you have ran into. Even with a complete restore, I am having issues with Pocket Internet Explorer freezing up and that freezing the entire system. As of right now, I am clueless as to why this is happening.

No2chem, maybe you can provide some insight on this.

Rvashi,

This is exactly the problem that I was referring to a post or two back... I've not been using PIE lately, so the phone's been working great! But, yeah.. PIE seems to be the problem here.. it seems to slow down substantially to the point of being unusable when I'm browsing. Opera works fine though...

Glad to see I'm not the only one who noticed it... no2chem's work has been used as a base for a lot of custom rom building, and I thought the IE problems was something I did to it (perhaps the streaming video bundle?), but I couldn't figure it out. Perhaps its something on a deeper level than I looked...

No2chem, any comments on this?
