No2Chem:

I truly appreciate the time you spent on this. (w/o really even know how much that really is). First I will say that I know nothing about cooking roms nor do I have the time to learn. Now that I have made my excuse for a possible stupid question or comment:

I have used your ROM now for a full day and I found the following item I either want to inform you of or question a fix:

Keyboard Backlight doesn't turn on anymore? (I thought this was a setting but for the life of me I can't find it.) – Now I realize that we have a good thing here if this is all I found.

Finally I just read the post above about the 3593 beta with the 1.47 radio and I am not experiencing these symptoms at all. As a matter of fact it sped up my device from the stock 2.16 rom w/ 1.47 radio. I had loaded previously. It also didn't have 1 freeze up all day! I am seeing a shorter battery life though as compared to the stock rom.

Thanks again and I look forward to your responses

There it is, but unfortunately it was checked. Meaning the backlight on the keyboard isn't working.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Edit: Acually checking the option "Enable keyboard backlight auto sensor" actually disables it. It works Unchecked.

Thanks for letting me talk myself through this! haha.

The option when enabled allows the device to determine whether or not the light should be on. Disabling the option (unchecked) turns on the light every time the kb is slid out. It is working as advertised

First off, great rom... fast and stable! I have some little things that might be able to be improved. It appears that the htc calculator skins don't want to work with this rom. Any chance of getting them packaged with it or figure out why they won't show up?

Also, prior to using your rom I messed around with dcd's clean rom and it looks like build 3593 suffers from the same activesync over bluetooth problem that dcd's clean rom had. Based on the post below I believe he fixed it but haven't had a chance to confirm that.

and here is a post I made detailing the problem:

Thanks again for all the hard work and time you guys put in.

Just a small update before going to bed...

Everything in the ROM is working great!! Congrats no2chem! Although i have yet to see a significant drop in Program Memory (stays stable at 20MB or above), I have noticed an overall decrease in speed and sometimes even freezing. At this point, I haven't determined the exact cause...or what program is causing this issue within this ROM but I am still doing some tests so will post an update as soon as I figure it out. But keep in mind, while the speed is significant slow, it is not because of lack of available Program or Storage Memory.

Isn't the speed deceased caused by the lower page file? I just did some minor tweaking with sk tools and my mogul is speedier then ever!

Lowering the pagepool from the default 6mb to 4mb is not going to make any noticable difference as far as speed. On the other hand, it could have an effect on system stability if you make the pagepool too low. 4mb seems fine for the 6800. I set my ROMs to 4mb and never experience any issues. Benchmarking tests when setting 4mb or 6mb are almost identical. The test score improves a little after going over 12mb pagepool, but it's not worth the cost of memory.

I do these tests on the ROM itself without doing any tweaking... With tweaking, one can make the ROM do whatever. I am testing the performance of the ROM Out-of-the-box so to speak.
